The Bug fighter 3 was designed and built to be the heavy fighter of the Yeerk empire, it has more powerful shields, more weapons, and better armor. The Bug fighter 3 is less commen then the Bug fighter 2, but most Yeerk ships have at least one squadran of Bug fighter 3s, with the rest being Bug fighter 2s.
