The mighty Andalite Domeship was designed for several reasons, the most important being that the Andalites wanted to be able to take a piece of Andal with them into space, the second was that they needed a powerful combat capable vessel, one that would project a pressance, and three they needed a ship large enough to transport thousands of warriors reltively comfortably. The Dome is a mile across, (5280feet,about 1760metres)and the body is a mile and a quarter long (6600feet about 2200metres). During the Yeerk/Andalite war, the Domeship proved invaluble. The type two Domeship was designed and built 10 years after the first Domeship, it was somewhat larger and had more weapons. The Shredder beams of a Domeship can punch through a moon the size of earths or turn planet into a lifeless cinder in a short amount of time.
